It’s fair to say camping has developed quite a bit and we’re way beyond just grabbing a tent and finding a quiet place in the woods. There’s now so much more to think about; where you can stay, what equipment to take, how to occupy the kids, and what type of camping to endure.
We’ve spent lots of time researching the best types of camping for – under the stars, glamping, shepherds huts, safari tents – and so much more.

Under the stars
Find the best spots to camp under the stars in the UK and beyond.
We’ve handpicked campsites tucked away in the countryside, far away from the bright city lights so you can embrace the natural beauty in the sky.
Step away from the technology, sit by the campfire, tell stories and enjoy peaceful nights under the stars.

Glamping
Old school camping not for you? You don’t need to ‘slum’ it with some luxury glamping. From glamping pods, to teepees to and eco-pods, there’s glamping options for all budgets and requirements.
Lots have hot tubs, pizza ovens / wood burners and all the amenities you’d expect at home, including a well stocked game cupboard to keep everyone entertained.

Shepherd’s Huts
Shepherd’s Huts have come along way from the old rumbling wagons that used to roll across fields in the UK, they’ve now been transformed into luxury glamping stays. With just a few interior changes and home comforts added, they keep the character and provide a unique experience.
Some are now equipped with steaming hot tubs, double beds, wood burners and fire pits.

Safari Tents
You don’t have to be in the middle of the Serengeti in Africa to stay in a safari tent (though you can do too – and that would be incredible). The UK has loads of different Safari tent options. Light the barbeque, stock the wood burner and enjoy an amazing experience under canvas.
The one featured here is in the Brecon Beacons in Wales which would 1000% recommend. Read more about our stay here.
